Just spent a few days at a special little place located in southwestern Saskatchewan ; Manley Bakery. How can you not get a positive "first impression" when you take your first steps inside? The many collection of fresh smells from homemade cinnamon buns, various breads, soups along with a friendly greeting from the owners. Everything we were promised we received. The suite we lodged in was very updated and included all the necessities you could ask for. The place was super clean and had many personal touches added to make it feel like home ( chocolates, bath room accessories, etc) We would recommend this unique location without a doubt. We are thankful to see small places like this still thriving in Saskatchewan.

We dropped in for breakfast and were not sure what to expect in this village of 66 people. What a pleasant surprise. The owners engaged us in sincere conversation and we enjoyed a tremendous breakfast. The cinnamon buns came out of the oven just as we were finishing breakfast and so we succumbed to the aroma and purchased two for the road. They were excellent. These folks are sincere, honest, hardworking entrepreneurs and I would return in a hear-beat.

It is a little hidden jem in the prairies. Locals go to it and know the owners who are very friendly. Stayed in their room upstairs which was perfect and really clean. The service was good and the breakfast had real bacon which I didn't expect. Would go back if I had the chance.

If you are fortunate enough to be passing through the Southwest part of Saskatchewan stop in at the Manley Bread and Honey bakery in Consul. I have eaten here several times; the food is always great, the service is outstanding, and it is obvious the owners care about the quality of the food and baking they serve. Whether just passing through or able to stop for a meal, don't forget to take a bag of cinnamon rolls with you... They are the best!!
